Run to Remember: Our Story

Jordan R. Huver: Aug. 22, 1995 - Dec. 28, 2013

In 2013, one of our founders of the Heart of the City Race, Trish Wehling, lost her daughter, Jordan, in a car accident at the age of 18. Jordan was a participant in and volunteered for the Heart of the City Races. Jordan's passion was children and she knew that supporting this race would directly benefit kids who were in need all over the Twin Cities metro area. The many children in Jordan's life and in her family were always drawn to her beautiful and fun-loving spirit. In honor of Jordan, Trish gathered 130 family and friends to “Run for Jordan” at the 2014 Heart of the City race. This year, we are celebrating and honoring all our lost loved ones by dedicating the race as “A Run to Remember.”
